Southgate Youth Group

Hello! Thanks so much for looking into our Youth Group page. The Southgate Youth Group is a very active and very loving group of teens, grades 7th - 12th, who are trying to devote their lives to Christ and having a whole lot of fun along the way. We meet for class on Sunday Mornings at 9:30am and Wednesday Night at 7:00pm in one classroom. If you are looking to connect with other teens, or if you're a parent looking for a positive group and social circle for your child, we hope you will give us a try. Retreats and Missions
Every year, our youth find ways to help others and rejuvenate themselves through serving others while serving Christ. Here are a few of the opportunities.
Manuelito Navajo Children's Home
A group travels to Gallup, New Mexico, to help these wonderful people. We build, paint, provide manual labor, and generally encourage the residents of Manuelito.
IMPACT Houston
The Impact Church of Christ in Houston has developed a six-week summer program where youth groups from all over come in for a week at a time to assist in a type of super VBS (Vacation Bible School). There is teaching and fellowship while working with the inner-city disadvantaged kids. This experience always has an impact on those involved.
Camp Blue Haven
This camp in the mountains near Las Vegas, New Mexico, is run by former members of Southgate, Michael & Jan McCoy. A week of the wilderness, sleeping in rustic cabins, daily devotionals, spirited singing around campfires, and deep friendships. A wonderful way to encourage and be encouraged.
